Studentenwerk SH shows highlights of the 36th poster competition

From 4 to 21 October 2022, a travelling exhibition by the German Student Union will be on show in Mensa I in Kiel.

"Campus life digital" was the motto of the 36th poster competition organised by the German Student Union for the winter semester 2021/2022. Design students from all over Germany submitted 692 posters. The six winners received their awards on 20 June 2022 at the Museum für Kommunikation Berlin. The 29 best posters are currently on a touring exhibition in Germany and will be presented for a few weeks in various student and student unions, including the Studentenwerk SH.

How has campus life changed as a result of the digitalisation of studies due to the pandemic? Has the pandemic accelerated the digitalisation of universities? What impact does digitalisation have on the social life of students? These are among the questions that the German Student Union posed to the design students. In addition to the first place of winner Gabriel Weimer from Mannheim, the jury of five experts awarded two second and three third places. A total of 10,000 euros in prize money was awarded.

The poster competition of the German Student Union has been held annually since 1987 and is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Students of graphic design, communication design or virtual communication who are enrolled at a state or state-recognised higher education institution in the Federal Republic of Germany are eligible to participate. The competition encourages students to deal with current higher education policy issues, to develop an attitude and to visualise it.

For the winter semester 2022/2023, the German Student Union is once again holding its poster competition. The theme this time is "I'm getting involved! Eligible students can register for the competition until 6 November 2022. The public award ceremony will take place on 19 June 2023 at the Museum für Kommunikation in Berlin.
