The Cultural Office supports student cultural work at all universities in the state. The aim is to enliven the campus culturally, to promote skills beyond the curriculum and to establish and intensify social and intercultural contacts. The Cultural Office supports your cultural projects with rooms and technology, advice and coordination, and offers a wide range of courses and workshops.
For first-year students in particular, taking part in the workshops or working in a student cultural group is a good opportunity to make contacts. In addition, there is an annual cooperation of the Cultural Office with the Nordic Film Days Lübeck and the Federal Youth & Film Association (International Seminar "Young Nordic Filmmakers"). In addition, the Student Union organises the state-wide film competition "Nur 48 Stunden" (Only 48 Hours) in cooperation with the State Association Youth & Film SH and the Open Channels in Kiel, Lübeck, Flensburg and Heide.
With numerous events - from theatre performances to film evenings and readings to poetry slams - the cultural office provides variety and entertainment on campus in the evenings.
Under the umbrella of the Student Union, students run "Campusradiokiel" for students. The campus radio can be heard live on Kiel.fm (FM 101.2 Mhz).
In Flensburg, the Music-AG regularly offers student bands a platform for performances with its Open Jam Nights.
We are members of the Landesvereinigung Kulturelle Jugendbildung Schleswig-Holstein (LKJ), the Bundesverband Jugend und Film (BJF), the Landesverband Jugend & Film Schleswig-Holstein (LJF) and the Filmkultur Schleswig-Holstein e.V..
