Conditions of participation in the "Tannenbäume" competition organised by Studentenwerk SH

1. organiser

The organiser of the "Tannenbäume" competition is the Studentenwerk Schleswig-Holstein (Studentenwerk SH), Westring 385, 24114 Kiel.

2 Eligibility to participate and determination of winners

All persons aged 16 or over who are permanently resident in the Federal Republic of Germany and follow the Studentenwerk SH Instagram page are eligible to participate.

3. participation

Participation in the competition takes place by liking the competition call posted on the Studentenwerk SH Instagram page, following the Studentenwerk SH on Instagram and posting a Christmas tree emoji under the post. To take part, you must have an Instagram profile. Each participant may only take part in the Studentenwerk SH competition once.

The Studentenwerk SH reserves the right to disqualify any participant who manipulates the competition or violates these conditions of participation. Disqualification will also take place if there is reasonable suspicion of manipulation or a breach of the conditions of participation.

Participation in the Studentenwerk SH competition is free of charge. The participant only has to pay the fees for the internet connection to the websites with the competition. Participation and the chances of winning are independent of the purchase of products or the use of services.

4 Entry period and prizes

The competition will take place until 20 November 2023, 9 a.m., on the Instagram page of the Studentenwerk SH.

There are prizes to be won:

4x1 Christmas tree

The winners will be drawn. The prizes will not be paid out in cash.
The winners will be informed of their prize by Studentenwerk SH via a comment on their post at the end of the entry period. They must then contact us via the Instagram page by direct message. If this does not happen by 21.12.2022 at 12 noon, the prize will be forfeited.

5. data protection

We use the data of the participants (Instagram name and the name and address data of the winner) in order to be able to carry out the competition. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 b) GDPR. The data sent to the winners will be deleted four weeks after the closing date. Please note that the Instagram names and any comments on the post will be retained and can be viewed by third parties and Instagram if the post is not deleted by the participants. We only transfer the data to our service providers who help us to organise the competition, such as agencies, shipping companies and IT service providers. In exceptional cases, data may also be transferred to third countries in countries in which the above-mentioned contractual partners may be located or process the data. These are primarily countries in the EEA and, in individual cases, countries outside the EEA in which a level of data protection comparable to Germany exists, such as the United States of America (USA), provided that EU standard data protection clauses are agreed with the receiving organisation in order to create suitable guarantees in accordance with Art. 46 GDPR and an appropriate level of data protection.
Participants have the right to information, rectification or erasure, restriction of or objection to the processing of their data and data portability. Participants also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority.

6. exclusion of liability / change to the conditions of participation

The Studentenwerk SH is not liable for the availability of the Instagram website https://www.instagram.com or the Instagram page of the Studentenwerk SH. The Studentenwerk SH is also not liable for any transmission errors.
The Studentenwerk SH may also modify, suspend or terminate the competition if this should be necessary due to force majeure or external circumstances beyond the control of the Studentenwerk SH or if this is the only way to ensure that the competition can be carried out properly.

7 Final provisions

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies.
This competition is not affiliated with Instagram and is in no way sponsored, supported or organised by Instagram. The recipient of the information provided by the user is not Instagram, but the Studentenwerk SH. The participants indemnify Instagram from any liability resulting from claims in connection with the implementation of the competition (in particular its publication and organisation). All questions, comments or complaints about the competition should be addressed directly to the Studentenwerk SH and not to Instagram.
