Science Park daycare centre uses swap bodies

The Kiel day-care centre in the Science Park of the Studentenwerk SH has recently started using change bags for more sustainability. Until now, dirty or wet clothes of the daycare children were often given to the parents in plastic bags. The reusable bags made of recycled material now put an end to this. Parents can wash the bags at home and then bring them back to the daycare centre. Here they wait for their next use.

The changeable bags are a project of the city of Kiel, which wants to become a zero-waste city. The day care centre in the Science Park applied to take part in the project and now has 20 Büddel in use.
