On Wednesday, 11 October 2023, and on Thursday, 17 November, both from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the Studentenwerk SH, in cooperation with Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel (CAU), offers lectures for CAU students with disabilities/chronic illness. The first date takes place in person, and students can participate online at the date in November.

Paula Jirka, advisor for student life at the Studentenwerk SH, and Dagny Streicher, representative for students with disabilities/chronic illnesses at CAU, will inform interested parties about the possibilities for compensating for disadvantages in studies and exams, about study and learning conditions at CAU, about the procedure for special support needs, as well as about contact persons and supportive counselling services. In addition, participants have the opportunity to ask their individual questions.

The target group of the event is students - whether in the first or higher semesters - with long-term or permanent physical or health impairments, such as mobility, visual, hearing or speech impairments, somatic illnesses, mental illnesses or disorders, autism, AD(H)S as well as dyslexia and other partial performance disorders.

Students can register with Dagny Streicher, stating their name and e-mail address as well as the date they would like to attend: barrierefrei-studieren@uv.uni-kiel.de. Registration is requested. Anonymous participation is possible; the data is only needed for registration. Information on the venue and the zoom link can be found on the CAU website.
