Office for educational support
Numerous BAföG clerks, several main clerks, group leaders, two division managers and a number of working students work in the Office for Educational Support. Colleagues from the financial aid office process the mail, create initial applications and answer simple telephone enquiries. The legal department deals with applications for advance payments, among other things, in order to provide students with financial support independently of their parents.
The employees advise students on all aspects of educational support in accordance with the Federal Training Assistance Act (BAföG) throughout Schleswig-Holstein. In addition, the Studentenwerk SH is responsible for funding students abroad as well as pupils in Denmark, Iceland and Norway.
