Student Union invites to Superfood Week

From May 2 to May 6, 2022, the Studentenwerk SH will offer a delicious dish with local superfoods every day in its dining halls in Kiel, Lübeck, Flensburg and Heide.

From "Millet-walnut-porridge with safflower blossoms, poppy seeds and blueberry confit" to "Lukewarm lentil salad with spring onions, raisins, carrots and roasted fillet of pollock" - during the Studentenwerk's campaign week, a variety of nutrient-rich dishes will provide variety on the plate and energy in everyday university life.

"When selecting ingredients, we paid attention not only to a high content of vitamins, minerals and secondary plant substances, but also to short transport routes," explains university catering manager Torsten Schmidt. "Local superfoods such as flaxseed, chard or beet are in no way inferior to the exotic alternatives in terms of nutrient content."

The Studentenwerk SH regularly surprises its guests with special promotional offers. Whether Levant cuisine, Brainfood or World Vegan Day - with creative recipe ideas beyond the snack single ice cream, the Mensa cooking team brings zest to the menu.
