Studentenwerk SH launches new website

Modern design, improved user guidance and fresh content - as of today, the website of the Studentenwerk Schleswig-Holstein - www.studentenwerk.sh - presents itself in new splendor.

During the redevelopment, a lot of emphasis was placed on a fresh, innovative look that is tailored to the young target group of students. In addition to bright colors, illustrations and animations provide dynamism. What's more, thanks to the flat navigation structure, site visitors can reach their destination with even fewer clicks. The advantage is that the drop-down menus make it immediately clear what is hidden behind the individual sections.

The site also has many valuable functions. Among other things, the Mensa menu can now be filtered by allergens, additives and preferences. Catering requests can be made directly online. In addition, there are brand new sections - including "Finance" or "Advice and Health" - and helpful further content is linked under each page.

Last but not least, accessibility was a key focus when creating the website. From a sign language video to a section in "plain language" to the translation of the entire content into English - all students will be able to find their way around easily from now on. The new site was developed in cooperation with the digital agency gradwerk from Lübeck.

"We are very pleased to be launching a contemporary and future-proof website after eight years and are eager to hear the students' feedback," says Managing Director Susann Schrader. "A special thanks goes to the state of Schleswig-Holstein, which provided funding from the Accessibility Fund for the development of the site."
