Sports, live music and party at the official kick-off of the new CAMPUS OPEN AIRS

On the initiative of the Student Union SH and in cooperation with the Sports Center of Kiel Christian Albrechts University (CAU), the Student Council for Sports and the AStA of Kiel University of Applied Sciences (Kiel UAS), a large celebration will take place on the Kiel CAU campus on Saturday, June 11, 2022.

The event is primarily aimed at students, employees, friends and families of the three Kiel universities. With a varied program consisting of three major components with something for everyone, the return to the universities is to be celebrated freely according to the motto "Campus Comeback". The venue is the green areas of the university sports forum at Olshausenstraße 70.

From 12 noon to 5 p.m., the CAMPUS OPEN AIR will first start with the CAMPUS CUP, organized by the CAU Sports Center. Under the motto "Sport connects", students and friends can compete against each other in a variety of tournaments in different sports, including soccer, volleyball and roundnet. An overview of all the sports on offer, as well as the opportunity to register for a fee (activation from May 30 at 8 p.m.), is available at www.hochschulsport.uni-kiel.de. Admission is free for spectators. Tip: All those who take part will receive a voucher for CAMPUS LIVE and a place on the guest list for the CAMPUS PARTY.

After the sports, CAMPUS LIVE invites you to a colorful event program for the whole family from 5 to 9 pm. Visitors can look forward to live musical acts, a food court with regional delicacies, and fun modules ranging from soccer darts to a photo box. Organized by the Studentenwerk SH, the centerpiece of the campus festival is actively supported by the departments of Sport, WiSo, WiPo and the AStA of the FH, among others. Admission is free.

The crowning conclusion of the day forms starting from 22.30 o'clock the CAMPUS PARTY. This is the former legendary Sportler Party of the Fachschaft Sport - Schleswig-Holstein's largest student party. Under the new name SpoPa OPEN AIR, the Studentenwerk SH is now on board as organizer and, together with the Fachschaft, will provide the best festival atmosphere after a long Corona break. In addition to a covered main floor in XXL format and three DJs, a silent disco, various fun modules and food trucks are at the start. Tickets are available from Monday, May 23, among others at Brunswiker + Reuter Universitätsbuchhandlung in Olshausenstraße 1 for 14 euros each. Note: SpoPa tickets can only be purchased with a current student ID, limited to five tickets per person. There will be no box office.

If the new central CAMPUS OPEN AIR with its triad of sports, live music and party goes down well with visitors, it will be expanded and held regularly in the future.
