Questions from international students
Yes, all international students can sign up for the program once. If you missed to sign up for it in the 1st semester and would still benefit from a Study Buddy now, it doesn't matter how long you have been here.

If you speak German very well and have a circle of German friends, you are welcome to participate as a "German*r1" Study Buddy.
1) Note: by "German" students we do not necessarily mean students with German citizenship. For the program it is important that you speak a confident German, that you have been living in Germany for some years and that you have people in your circle of friends who have been living in Germany for a long time. To avoid misunderstandings, we ask you to click on "register as a 'German' Study Buddy" when registering.
Registration
You can always sign up. We place the buddies throughout the year. However, our events only take place during the lecture period. We will specifically invite you to our events for one semester. After that, you are welcome to continue meeting with your buddy.
Mediation
We match you according to similar interests and hobbies. If there are several matches with similarities, we also take into account the language skills.
Mainly we will place you according to your interests and hobbies. We try very hard to take your wishes into account when placing you. But sometimes we can't, because there is simply no suitable person. Then we will automatically place you with another person.
We will do our best to place you within a month.
If I have a study buddy...
Then you are welcome to contact us. We will then consider together what we can do and whether you will be placed again if necessary.
Contact us
We ask that you try again to contact your buddy. If you still don't hear from her*him, you can write us and we can place you again.
Yes, you are welcome to be placed a second time. A short e-mail to us is enough. However, priority will be given to German1 buddies who have not yet been placed.

Your buddy and you decide how often you meet and what you do. According to the motto everything can, nothing must. We would be happy if you accompanied your buddy for at least one semester.
